Hi, new member from Australia. My Alltrack has 17" wheels and tyre options appear very limited. My query, will 225/55/17 fit on the 17x7 wheels without hassles?
225/55R17 is th size of tyre i chose after wearing out th original 205's. Th 225's do not rub or touch anything & i can turn th wheel full left & right with room to spare. i was a little worried about how it would effect my gas mileage but after 10k miles on these new tyres it hasn't really effected th mileage. Th stock factory tyre pressure is 38 lbs/inch i hav been running th 225's at 42 lbs/inch & can report they are wearing flat & even across all four tyres. I will definitely continue to run 225's in th future because this size fits th vehicle better yielding a wider stance without having to install wheel spacers for th look. I hope this information is helpful

the stock 205/55r17 & th 225/50r17 are 25.9 inches in overall diameter so no change or recalibration necessary .. reads th correct speed indicated

i c i wrote 225/55r17 in my original reply i in fact hav installed 225/50r17 because they are th same diameter as stock except 1.9 inches wider
in your original post u asked about 225/55r17 that tyre is 26.7 inches in diameter or 3.1% larger then stock so that size would effect th speedometer reading.
225/50r17 is what im running with no issues.
