Roof Rail Strength

Hey everyone,

Anybody know if the standard roof rails on the SEL are strong enough to say...hang a hammock from?

Any insight welcome!

The only info I know on my 19 alltrack roof rails is the if you use the vw crossbars they hold up to 350 pounds compared to the yakima which hold 160. I have a 22 cubic inch yakima card box with the vw factory crossbars and I pack my cargo as I did this week to about 300 pounds which no issues. Good luck
