Notes on my last maintenance (65,000 miles) indicated that I should replace the FRONT brake pads and rotors and replace both engine mounts

Just wondering what this type of repair should cost. The dealer indicated a cost, but I would have to mortgage my home to pay for it, so wondering if certified third party Audi mechanics may be a good alternative.

$2,500 for the brake job and $2,300 for the engine mounts.

My god!!!!! I would try and find a good VAG mechanic and see what they can do for you.
